THE GREAT COSMETIC COVER UP

Petro Chemicals in our products should be avoided at all costs, Although many big name brands still have them in their products that we are putting onto our hair, into our skin, there are many Australian Made companies out there who have had experiences with cancer and close to them to want to make that switch. www.naturalhaircare.com.au
All i can ever say is lets help prevent any types of cancer and definitely rid the products that are causing harm to our children and families.
Read on and you'll be amazed to see products that are still on our shelves today, that we purchase daily and consume! And we worry about global warming?

Sodium Lauryl and Sodium Laureth Sulphates:
Sulphates are a chemical used as a base surfactant and foaming agent to diminish oil and surface impurities. Most often found in cleansers, shampoos and shower gels. Studies have indicated that sulphates enter and maintain residual levels in the body from skin contact. They can be responsible for increased skin sensitization and impaired barrier functions.

Formaldehyde
Formaldehyde is a colourless, strong smelling gas commonly used as a preservative and mostly found in personal care products, shampoos, moisturizers and deodorants. Formaldehyde is classified as a probable human carcinogen by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and as a known human carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. It is an irritant that causes allergies, contact dermatitis, headaches, dizziness, chronic fatigue, nausea, chest pain and breathing difficulties. Formaldehyde
is extremely irritating to the eyes, nose and throat.

Parabens
Parabens are a group of chemicals most commonly used as a preservative in cosmetics and skincare. They provide bacteriostatic and fungistatic activity against a number of organisms. They have been known to cause many skin irritations although most recently, studies have shown a link between parabens in cosmetics and breast cancer. Through this, parabens have been found in breast tumour tissues.

Diethanolamine (DEA)
Diethanolamine (DEA) is a chemical that is used as a wetting agent in shampoos, lotions, creams and other cosmetics. It provides a rich lather and a creamy consistency in products. On its own, DEA might not be harmful although over time on the shelf, it will mix with other ingredients in products to form a potent carcinogen called Nitrosodiethanolamine (NDEA).
NDEA is readily absorbed through the skin and has in the past been linked with bladder, liver and stomach cancers. According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), "There is sufficient evidence of a carcinogenic effect of N-nitrosodiethanolamine -- ."

Ethoxylates
Ethoxylated Surfactants are commonly used in cosmetics as foaming agents, emulsifiers and humectants. As part of the manufacturing process, the toxic chemical 1.4-dioxane which is a potent carcinogen is generated.

Phthalates
Phthalates are a toxic chemical used as a plasticizer in food wraps and many pliable containers. This ingredient is commonly found in some cosmetics, nail polishes and hairsprays. Phthalates have been known to cause sexual abnormalities and deformities.

Propylene Glycol/Butylene Glycol/Polyethylene Glycol
A petroleum derivative that penetrates the skin and can weaken protein and cellular structures. Propylene Glycol is also known as an antifreeze coolant, it is so concentrated that it can remove barnacles from the bottom of boats and the substance is so toxic that workers are required to wear protective gear. It has been known to cause brain, liver and kidney abnormalities and as well as skin irritations and dermatitis.

Mineral Oils
Mineral Oil is a clear liquid with no scent that will not spoil. It is a by-product of the distillation of gasoline from crude oil. It is more expensive to dispose of mineral oil than it is to purchase it. Mineral Oil forms a plastic like coating on the surface of the skin. It cannot absorb and therefore clogs the pores which slows the skins ability to eliminate toxins and promotes the formation of acne and other skin disorders.

Lanolin
Lanolin is obtained from the fleece of sheep. Sebum is extracted from the wool and then cleaned and refined to produce anhydrous lanolin. This is comprised of 3 parts; wool alcohols, fatty alcohols and fatty acids. Any chemicals used on the sheep will contaminate the lanolin extracted from the wool. The majority of lanolin's used in cosmetics are highly contaminated
with organo-phosphate pesticides and insecticides. Lanolin can be sensitizing to the skin and can also have a comodogenic effect.

Silicone
Silicone emollients are occlusive meaning that they coat the skin, trapping anything beneath it, and do not allow the skin to breathe (much like plastic wrap would do). Recent studies have indicated that prolonged exposure of the skin to sweat, by occlusion, causes skin irritation. Some synthetic emollients are known tumour promoters and accumulate in the liver and lymph nodes. They are also non-biodegradable, causing negative environmental
impact.

Harsh Preservatives
Preservatives can be essential ingredients in skin care as they reduce microbial growth. However, many of these preservatives can be damaging to human health causing skin irritations, sensitivity and allergic reactions.

Artificial Fragrance/Artificial Dyes
Artificial fragrances are added to cosmetics for the scent. Not only has artificial fragrance been known to cause skin irritations and allergic contact dermatitis, but it can also be responsible for photo-sensitivity of the skin and having an adverse effect on the central nervous system. Similarly, Artificial Colours extracted from coal tar; FD&C colour pigments deposit toxins onto the skin and are also known to be sensitizing as well as comodogenic.

Essential oils
Some essential oils may be harmful if they are not used correctly, prescribed correctly or at the correct dosage. Certain oils are problematic in pregnancy and are also photo sensitive, therefore people with hyper pigmentation will find that their condition will worsen rather than improve.

Although many major companies hide this in their labelling there are many wo want to make a difference. Go to naturalhaircare.com.au

Create Landing Pages That Convert and Sell More

The visitors get their first impression about your website, products/services from the landing page. In fact, it is the web page that contributes to the conversion rate of your website.
As maximum visitors take only 3-5 seconds on a web page for making decision, you have only that much of time to persuade your prospects and make more sales.
Therefore, creating an attractive landing page that sell more can make a lot of difference to your online business.
There are certain aspects of designing a sales page that can boost conversion and sell more.

  1. It is important that you identify the reasons of bail outs. Are you able to create an instant impression? Does your website have a professional look? Is your website credible? The visitors try to form an instant idea about your website on the landing page and hence, it is really important to hold their attention considering every aspect of designing the landing page.  Reducing the bail out rates can enhance the chances of conversions.
  2. Landing pages work best to increase your sales when designed in auser-friendly way. A properly optimized page with easy-to-use navigation system can keep the momentum of the visitors going on. Place the important features of the pages at the top or in a place that is instantly visible, highlight the important elements, use bullets to describe the features or benefits of the products, use relevant and descriptive hyperlinks to hold interest of the readers.
  3. The headline is the only text that most of the visitors read even if they leave the page. Hence, a catchy and compelling headline has the potential to make your visitors read the entire text. Most visitors scan the text and read only the important points. Design your landing page to enhance the scanability of the text by using bullets. Use of subheadings is another way of designing a useful landing page for the visitors.
  4. The conversion rate of your website is dependent on every aspect of the landing page including the images. Studies show that the attentions of the visitors are drawn immediately towards the images when they first land on a webpage. Placing the images towards the left side of the page and the product description at the right is the ideal way of designing a page.
  5. "Call to action" gives you the best opportunity to increase your conversion rate on the landing page. Inform your visitors about the action that you want them to do on your website. Develop a persuasive call to action; it will surely increase your conversion rate.

These only a few from hundreds of factors to test and improve on your web site to create landing pages that convert better and make you more sales.
Are you serious about improving your current website? Or are you considering building a new profit making website?
If you're ready to discover how to create a web site to sell more products, get more people to take action and potentially be more profitable, you need to check this site right away because just 1 of the tips alone can potentially save you hundreds of dollars in lost revenue.

Outrank websites that have more backlinks than your website

If you want to get high rankings on Google, it is necessary that many other websites link to your website. This is something that most webmasters know. What many webmasters still don't know is that a website that has only a few inbound links can outrank a website that has many inbound links.

Why many backlinks alone are not enough
If a website has a high number of inbound links, it does not automatically rank highly for any keyword.
Google specifies the position of a website in its search results by on-page factors and off-page factors. On-page factors are all factors that can be found on your web pages:
  • Did you optimize the web page for the targeted keyword?
  • Can search engines find all pages of your website through the links on your website?
  • Is the HTML code of your web pages error free so that search engine spiders can easily parse your pages?
  • Does your robots.txt file allow search engine spiders to visit your web pages?
  • Are your web pages free of all spam elements (no hidden text, no sneaky redirects, no keyword stuffing, cloaking, etc.?
Off-page factors are the factors that cannot be found on your web pages:
  • How many websites link to your site?
  • Are these links from related high quality pages?
  • Do social bookmark websites link to your site?
  • Do the links to your website include the keywords for which you want to be ranked highly?
All of these factors are important if you want to get high rankings on Google, Yahoo and Bing.

How to meet Google's requirements
If you want to get high rankings for a special keyword, you must optimize one of your web pages for that keyword. If one of your web pages has been optimized for a keyword, then Google will return it in the search results.
Unfortunately, there are many websites that target the same keywords as your website. If more than one website has been optimized for a keyword then Google will list the web pages with the best inbound links in the top 10 results.
For example, if 20 websites have been optimized for the keyword "green widgets" then the website that has the most inbound links that use the text "green widgets" as the link text will get the best position on Google.
If your website meets all on-page requirements and has the right kind of links (which does not mean that it must have the most links) then Google will list your website on the first result page.
There are many ranking elements that influence the position of your website in Google's search results. The more elements meet Google's requirements, the more likely it is that your website will be listed on Google's first result page. To get an overview over all factors that are relevant to the position of your website in Google, analyze your website with webfx2online personal service and professional website strategies.

SEO Rules for Your Business Website

Are you planning to take SEO services? You might be confused where to start from. Whether you want to do it yourself or hire a SEO company to enhance your website's online visibility, it will help you enormously if you become well-informed of the basic search engine optimization rules. Read on these important SEO rules:

Backlinks Are Important - Getting lots of backlinks from other relevant websites is the best way to get ranking on the search engines. Increasingly, research is showing that search engine bots are weighting the value of backlinks even more heavily than there are keywords on the site in terms of their influence on how well your site ranks for certain search terms. Quality links are those that are from websites that have content relevant to that of your website, as well as that enjoy a strong Google PageRank score.
Remember the Anchor Texts - Anchor text, as odd as its name is, is simply that text that is embedded in a link leading from one site to another. In other words, it is the text that people actually click on when trying to follow from one site to another.
Keyword Density - Few years back, keyword was less important; but now it becomes crucial to make sure that while optimizing the website keyword density should be good. In other words, if you target keyword is 'diamond' then this keyword should appear twice in every 100 words. It means that keyword density is 2%, but you should try for 3-5%.
Keep Your Keywords At The Right Place In Every Web Page - Not only keyword density is important, but it is also important that you should keep the keyphrases at right position. Search engines tend to weight more heavily of keywords positioned higher up on the top, left of the page, as well as of those embedded in section or sub-section titles.
Target a Maximum of 1-2 Keywords Per Page - Once you have decided the keywords you want to optimize your website, you will need to optimize every page and make subset of your determined keyphrases.

Search Engine Friendly Web Design

Search engines play an important role in helping users find information on the internet. Any good web development company never avoids search engine optimization at the time of creating websites for their clients. By using some valuable keywords after researching the kind of business we are trying to capture, users can find web pages filtered by search engines in terms of relevance, making it easier for them to get the data as per their requirement. There are so many search engines like Google, Yahoo, and AOL etc.
The idea generally speaking is to define the main aim of a search engine friendly web design and build a website on a framework that is easily read by engines therefore giving them a higher chance on gaining good position in search rankings. Meta tags are usually found in the head section of an HTML document. Though Meta tags are not as influential as they were before in terms of search rankings, they still have that ability to enhance website popularity in search engines. The title tag affects the engines very much to categorise your website, so it is mandatory to have a relevant title tag on the pages of your website. These Meta tags provide further information about your web page. Keywords also play a major role in your website since search engines rank websites based on the relevance of their content with search keywords.
Flash design is another aspect to be considered while making your site search engine friendly. Though search engines depend heavily on the text content in their indexing, websites made purely or mostly made in flash. Most content placed in flash are not readable by web spiders of recent but now there are tweaks on how to optimize flash for search engines.
Last but not least your website becomes more search engine friendly by adding a site map in your web page. You can make your website better by using keywords or phrases that is targeted by the said page that you are linking to.
